Potential ideas for CSR projects with HSBC and or AIESEC

1. 1 day abundant beach clean:
• Why:

i. Locals and tourists litter along the cots (bottles, cans, paper, etc)

• Benefits:

i. Feasible result. Cleaning the beach from trash is always nice. Make the place you live in a better place (Michael Jackson). Small things will always turn into a big ones;

ii. Educating / Learning point. Give an example to local population. Even if for one person. It is a success than;

iii. Ego part. Personal satisfaction for people who will participate. All the people in fact want to do something good. This is a small but very feasible contribution. You can see that the beach is clean, even if for just a few days. This will trigger your ego (not sure what part of Maslow pyramid that is);

iv. Corporate profit. Visibility to the bank. The bank want wants to be visible. It is a good opportunity for this;

• Costs:

i. Time of employees. 4-5 hrs.

ii. Trash bags,

iii. Gloves

iv. Transportation to the abundant beach

2. Other (will have to think more as these are more committed on time, publicity, delivery, etc:
• Composter for households. To leave organic waste to rotten and then used as a fertilizer;
• Food for underprivileged school children;
• Separated recycling (for glass, paper, plastic). It is possible in HSBC office. It should be possible in the community.
